Fleet-Courses

ATV & Snowmobiles
These HANDS-ON courses are designed to complement a driver’s basic knowledge by providing them with actual practical experience. Each participant will have the opportunity to learn and practice maneuvers such as starting and stopping, controlled cornering, weight transfer, proper slope approach, trailer loading and unloading.
Fleet Defensive Driving

These hands-on in-vehicle and in-class courses are designed specifically for companies with employees on the road. Training provides drivers the ability to recognize the difference between multi-tasking and multi-thinking, enabling the working driver to reflect on how best to accommodate their many inevitable distractions while working and driving.

Our Motor Vehicle Fleet Risk Management team will work with your Health and Safety team to develop the right course to suit your Risk Management and budgetary needs.

New Hire Assesment
This special hands-on course was designed specifically to assess all new hires on their current driving abilities and identify their current level of risk. The course uses our proprietary PTP (psychological-theoretical-practical) training system to help students focus on space-management skills with client-specific vehicles, restricted-space management, traffic management, eco-driving, stress management, high-risk positioning and comprehension of the Highway Traffic Act (rolling stops, crosswalks, speeding, etc.)
Manager Driver Training
This hands-on course is specifically designed to provide Managers with the tools they need to coach their drivers with confidence. They will be able to identify improper driving techniques and reinforce safe, defensive driving principles and corporate risk-management techniques.

Skid Driver Training
Candidates refine their driving techniques through optimizing vision, space and communication skills plus actual hands-on response techniques in emergency braking, skid control and collision avoidance. This is one of our most comprehensive courses and includes theory, in-vehicle on public roads and advanced braking and maneuvering skills on a closed-course skid surface.
Emergency Driver Training

EVO’s (Emergency Vehicle Operators) will enhance their knowledge of anger management, space management, visual tracking, high-risk positioning, low speed maneuvering, sensory overload and aggressive driving. This hands-on course is customized for vehicle specific dynamics, company policies and provincial laws (i.e. Ambulance Act).

Classroom

This theory-based course presents a new perspective on why we drive the way we do. Based on the Myers – Briggs Personality Type Indicator, participants discover how we all drive according to our basic personality type indicator and values.

Participants will then recognize how to create positive changes in their own driving personality as well as learn to anticipate and understand how other drivers may react to various driving situations. This increased awareness helps mitigate and control risks while driving.

Collision Analysis

The actual case study of the driver’s collision is reviewed with the driver and a determination of preventability vs. non-preventability is identified. With a revisit to the collision site, details of the crash are reviewed. At this point a solution is developed and implemented on how to avoid this type of collision in the future, as well as any other weakness that may be apparent in the participant’s driving ability.

Trailering

This HANDS-ON course offers experience detailing pre and post checks, hook and un-hook, off tracking, tail swing, blind areas, blind spots and proper mirror adjustments. Drivers will also have the opportunity to partake in on-road group assessments where they can self-assess their own driving. This course can be customized with specific load and unloading procedures, low speed maneuvering and parking skills.
